Developmental Program




CO-ED CLASSES
Parent & Me– Ages 1 to 3 yrs (1 hour of class per week): This class encourages quality time between the parent and the child.  Specialized preschool gymnastics equipment is used to introduce the child to fine and gross motor skills as well as basic gymnastics such as running, jumping, hopping, hanging, and swinging.
Tiny Tumblers– Age 3 (1 hour of class per week): Beginner gymnastics skills are taught in an age appropriate manner.  Skill Focus: Forward rolls, backward rolls, cartwheels, and handstands.
Boys and Girls (Co-Ed): Young Level 1-Ages 4 & 5 (1 hour of class per week) : These classes teach basic motor skills, flexibility, and strength.  Basic gymnastics skills including forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, and handstands.  With a special focus on support position strengths.  
 

BOYS' and GIRLS' CLASSES
BOYS:Level 1 &  Level 2 (1 hour of class per week): All events are introduced in this class.  Basic motor skills, flexibility, and strength are continued with increased focus on strength  and handstands.
GIRLS: Young Level 2– ages 4, 5, and 6 (1 hour of class per week)- CountrySide’s all around gymnastics program for ages four and up teaches artistic gymnastics events as well as optional activities such as trampoline, rope, and pit.
GIRLS: Level 1 & Level 2 (1 hour of class per week)– CountrySide’s women’s program works the artistic events as well as optional activities such as trampoline, rope, and pit. We focus on fun and fitness while developing skills. Classes are structured to do two to three events per week in a circuit and station format; this keeps the class active and fun while learning skills safely. To help keep control of the class, the student to teacher ration is 9:1.
GIRLS: Jr. All Star (2 hours of class per week)After successfully completing the level 2 skill sheet and assessment, students are promoted into this program.  Classes are two hours per week with a focus on Level 3 and 4 gymnastics skills including advanced event skill training.  This is a step towards our All Star Prep Optional Program which follows the rules of USA Gymnastics Prep-Optional Guidelines.
